It has been a very busy month for the Miller’s team since we brought home the Fish and Chip Shop of the Year Award – did you see us on ‘This Morning’?
Over the past 7 months our little business has been put through a rigorous judging process which included mystery shoppers, audits by industry experts, review of our responsible sourcing policies and menu offerings and, of course, the Miller’s customer service and the quality of our fish and chips.
The final round of the judging process really put our presentation skills to the test as we were quizzed about the fish and chip industry, our products and the future of the Miller’s shop. We’re pretty chuffed to say that we battered off the competition (see what we did there?) and we brought the prestigious award of Fish and Chip Shop of the Year home to Haxby!
Some of you may remember that we entered this competition for the first-time last year and were so proud to get to the final and finish third. To go all the way this year and scoop the Oscar of the fish and chip world is amazing, especially as it’s the 30th anniversary of the National Fish and Chip awards – it just makes it that more special.
This award really does mean everything to us, and we’re so proud of ourselves, the Miller’s team and our customers for helping us achieve the Fish and Chip Shop of the Year Award.
